    Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are crucial to building and maintaining healthy skin from the cell membranes to the natural oil barrier. The right balance of omega-6/omega-3 oils applied topically will help prevent inflammation.

    Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), a special type of omega-3, prevents wrinkles by blocking UV- induced enzymes that destroy collagen. Spectra tests on PROTECTIVE DAY OIL show high levels of UV protection in the long wavelength, UVA range, probably due to its high carotenoid content.

    OLIVE + SESAME SEED OILS + HELICHRYSUM ESSENTIAL OIL are anti-inflammatory.

    POMEGRANATE SEED, TOMATO SEED AND BROCCOLI SEED OILS provide special antioxidant protection from carotenoids and sulforaphane (a compound with sun protective properties).

    ASTAXANTHIN AND RED RASPBERRY SEED OIL provide environmental protection because they help absorb UV rays.

    Recommended use

    Shake well. Dispense approximately 1/2 dropper and warm between palms. Smooth over face/neck/chest, avoiding eye contour area. We recommend wearing our ColorFree Zinc Sunscreen SPF 32 or Everyday Coverage Tinted Sunscreen SPF30 as your final daytime step, rain or shine. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult physician. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. Use within 6 months of opening.

      Daily protective oil review

      I love the daily protective oil! My skin is dewy and hardly ever breaks out anymore. I’m 56 years old a feel great about my skin now!

      The Beat

      Im 60 and started using Marie Veronique after getting a facial at a spa that used her products. Two years later I swear the cleanser, toner, serum, oil routine has brought new life to my skin. Oils are absorbent and not greasy-the protective day oil is a daily for me. I live near a beach so keeping my face/neck hydrated is a must.

      Protective Day Oil

      This is the only product I have bought from Marie Veronique and could not use. It has an extremely strong smelling herbal scent and bothered my eyes which are sensitive to fragrance.
