    ABOUT MARIE VERONIQUE

    Marie-Veronique Nadeau is a chemist who founded Marie Veronique in 2002. An inventor at heart who suffered from teenage acne, she was moved to create her own products when she could find nothing on the market that was clean and effective to address her rosacea. From there, she went on to develop a line for acne and was one of the first to formulate a non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen. She continues to lead the way towards safe yet effective skincare, determined to move an industry ensconced in hype into the realm of science. She is a trained esthetician, holds degrees in Math and Science, and is a former high school chemistry teacher. She collaborates with her daughter, Jay Nadeau, physicist and bio-medical engineer, to carefully choose each ingredient in her products to solve real skin issues and address the causes of aging at the source.

    Aesthetically brighten and refine texture with ADZUKI BEAN POWDER an earth-friendly alternative to plastic microbeads.

    A gentle cleanser formulated with alpha and beta hydroxy acids and adzuki bean powder for dissolving and removing dead skin cells without risk of microtears. Beneficial for mature skin types seeking to reduce thickness of the epidermal layer while increasing production of natural ceramides to hold in moisture. Also works to eliminate pore-clogging factors for those with excess oil production while providing soothing qualities to reduce inflammation and risk of breakouts.

    Note: Although this cleanser contains exfoliation ingredients, it does not contain surfactants that remove the essential lipid layer or bactericidal preservatives, which kill beneficial bacteria. Great for use while transitioning away from more aggressive exfoliating cleansers and working to balance skin function.

    If your skin does not fall into the category of thick/oily, this cleanser should be used no more than once weekly.

    Benefits

    Declogs pores with black willow bark extract by dissolving dead skin cells from the outside in.

    AHA lactic acid works from the inside out to dissolve excess debris, and stimulate growth of natural ceramides to improve barrier function.

    Ingredients

    LACTIC ACID is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that effectively exfoliates, while providing anti-aging benefits such as increasing production of natural ceramides to hold in moisture.

    ADZUKI BEAN POWDER loosens dead skin cells with zero irritation, and imparts a refined polish to the skin. This very fine powder gently exfoliates with a scrubbing action.

    COLLOIDAL OAT FLOUR calms and soothes skin while providing gentle exfoliation.

    WILLOW BARK eats dead skin cells from the outside in, helps declog pores.

    IRISH MOSS POWDER Irish moss is a seaweed from the Atlantic Ocean that is harvested for its rich mineral content and its emulsifying properties.

    Recommended use

    Shake well. Dispense one full pump and warm between hands. Using first three fingers, draw small circles over face/neck/chest for 1-2 mins, adding water as needed to create slip. Rinse well and pat dry. If skin is not thick/oily, limit to 1x/week. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult physician. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. Use within 6 months of opening.

    AHA/BHAs may increase sun sensitivity.
    Daily sunscreen/sun protection advised.

      Good for daily use

      I have dry skin so I like that I can do this every day and it doesn't feel harsh on my skin.

      Nice...but not for every day

      This is a very nice cleanser for older skin. I couldn't use some of their other products because my skin is too oily. However, this is a nice cleanser to use a couple of times a week or just in the mornings. Smells good leaves. Your skin feeling clean but not too dry.

      Safe and effective exfoliating cleanser

      I really like this product. I use it on days that I feel I need an extra bit of cleansing. The scent is wonderful and my face feels so good after using it.
