Ingredients

STREPTOCOCCUS THERMOPHILUS—A symbiotic microbe containing high levels of sphingomyelinase (ASMase), an enzyme. Topicals containing this probiotic can generate a significant increase in skin ceramide amounts via the ASMase/ceramide pathway. Biosynthesis of ceramides, which comprise 50% of the skin’s barrier layer, declines with age.

GLUCONOLACTONE—Polyhydroxy acid (PHA), a potent humectant, and natural preservative. It enhances water balance while acting like a very gentle exfoliant.

POLYGLYCERYL POLYRICINOLEATE—A novel food-based surfactant and emulsifier. Directly improves barrier function by multi-tasking with probiotics to provide microbial balance. In addition, the polyglycerol part of the molecule provides emollience to lubricate the skin and improve overall texture and appearance.

CALENDULA INFUSED SAFFLOWER OIL—Locally harvested from Marie Veronique Nadeau’s farm in Northern California this herbaceous plant oil is long known for its soothing properties.

Recommended use

Begin by dispensing a quarter-sized amount into palms and spread evenly over clean, damp skin, adding product as needed. May repeat as needed throughout the day especially to the areas of the body experiencing dryness, tightness, visible scars, crepiness and redness. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.*Use within 6 months of opening.

beautiful moisturizer
beautiful product. very pricey so I limit my use to select areas of my body but moisturizes quite well and leaves a very subtle glow to the skin. overall very happy and would recommend!

Love this
Love this product - I have to hoard it because it is so expensive. Only criticism is I wish it had a pump dispenser. I put my own into it.

I love these products
I have been using thick creams for years thinking that was the only way to help my very dry skin. This product isn’t like that, but really works. It kept my skin hydrated even in winter. I will definitely continue to purchase.

Works well!
This product is amazing. I have developed eczema and was afraid it might return after switching to the Body Barrier Emulsion. (The cream I was currently using was discontinued). This leaves my skin very soft. It is very expensive. However, I love the packaging and ingredients.

Healing my eczema
This stuff is shocking. I have a few spots of eczema on my body (stomach, ribs, thigh) and this stuff has literally altered its composition in a matter of 2 weeks. The itch is reduced to almost 0% and the bumpy, scaly texture is gone. I use the emulsion morning and night, right after a shower, and I am quite literally watching my eczema fade away. I am so impressed and bewildered by this product. If you've tried everything for eczema, but haven't tried this yet, I can't recommend it enough. Even if you're not searching for a medical solution, this stuff is insanely hydrating. Nothing sinks in better or retains moisture like it. Thank you MV for this godsend of a product.
